Well, it’s been just over a month of first-draft writing and I am way behind on goal. Unimpressed at myself here. Main reason? Day-job has been knocking me out. By the end of the week, I’m zombie-girl, or ‘she who cannot form a sentence and just wants to sleep’. Probably up for another month of this. And then seriously, things had better get back to normal!
After I fix up the compost bin again — why has the dog decided he likes this bin? He left the other one alone! — tomorrow will be a solid writing day. Come hell, high water, starvation from lack of grocery-buying, or dust-bunny attack. I will get back on track.

Our dog has always been interested in our compost bin and we wondered why until we discovered a family of mice living inside it.

Strange thing is this one is almost empty! The other compost bin is full and happily decomposing, but he has to dig around and tip up the bin with nothing much in it. He’s an odd puppy.
so know what you’re talking about here! important thing is, just keep chipping away as much as you can and don’t give up. push yourself a little, be kind to yourself a little, and keep moving forward.
