Ten Thousand Gates published in Aggregate

I’m so pleased to have a story in this anthology. Described as ‘The intersection of science fiction and horror: This collection of thirteen stories deals with human nature, and what it means to live in this complex and changing world at this strange time in history.’

My story, ‘Ten Thousand Gates’ was inspired by the last time I visited Japan, so it means a lot to see it in print while I’m actually living here! It’s a story set in Kyoto, about torii gates and the boundary between worlds. It’s also a story about grief. And cats. Because of course it is.

It’s great to see it alongside so many other amazing stories, including one that was written largely by a neural network!
